Elinor Ostrom wins Nobel Prize!

Huge congratulations to our colleague Elinor Ostrom who has just won the 2009 Nobel Prize in Economics “for her analysis of economic governance, especially the commons.”

    It is really rewarding to receive the news that Elinor Ostrom won the Nobel Prize for its relevant research on the Commons. I have been working on the theoretical basis of her work and several of my graduate students used her theoretical framework in the development of their Theses on Water Shared Management in Brazil.
